Complicated Twentieth-Century Women with Joanne Kukanza Easley

Episode Summary

My guest today is an award-winning writer whose debut novel, Sweet Jane, was released in 2020. The novel was named the winner in adult fiction at the Texas Author Project and shortlisted for the Sarton Award and Eric Hoffer Award, among others. A retired registered nurse with experience in both the cold, clinical operating room and the emotionally fraught world of psychiatric hospitals, she lives and writes on a small ranch in the Texas Hill Country. Just One Look is her second published novel. Her prize-winning short fiction and poetry have appeared in anthologies. She writes fiction about complicated, twentieth-century women who eventually figure it out. Her novels are set in the sixties and seventies. Her work-in-progress, I’ll Be Seeing You, features characters from Sweet Jane. Welcome to Authors Over 50, Joanne Kukanza Easley.
